Be Determined
I am such an animation buff. I love movies like Shrek, Angry Birds and trust me I can go on. One of my all-time favourites is Zootopia, (you must watch) a story about a little bunny who wanted to break out of the norm (carrot harvesting) and become a police officer which is totally unheard of. It reminds me of what it is to be an entrepreneur. While everyone is doing the same thing you just want to do something totally different and that’s where it starts. It’s like you never fitted in with the other folks and it didn’t bother you that you didn’t.
In the movie Zootopia the bunny was made fun of because persons could not see how she could be an officer. (sounds familiar?) She was made fun of, her parents even encouraged her to come back home but she was determined to stick it out even though they were days that were down right depressing. At police training she was the smallest one there and again she was made fun of by her colleagues. However, those days made her more determined not just to succeed but to excel to the point that she was the top of her class! But it didn’t stop there, even after she became an officer it was still hard but she was determined to fulfil her dream.
Determination is a deciding that regardless of what happens you will stay on course, not falter but remain steadfast and immovable. The little bunny had critics (they must put in an appearance) but her focus was not on what they thought she couldn’t accomplish but rather on what she wanted to accomplish- that’s a big difference. You have to be determined to keep your eyes on what you want no matter what others are saying. It can be difficult as sometimes those persons can be your dearest friends and closest love ones.
So despite the critics, the not so good results, the turn downs and turn offs we keep on pressing toward the mark remembering that God has given you all that you need to achieve what he has called you to do – just go after it!
Not only do the I love the movie Zootopia but the theme song is one of my favourites. The chorus says:

I wanna try even though I could fail
